Last month, we were contacted by Leo from Worldmap. He offered us a 120 cm x 80 cm canvas from his site as a welcome home gift after our year of travelling the world, in exchange for an honest review.
Of course, we couldn’t say no to such a nice offer. Keep in mind that we did not get paid for this blog post, but we did get to keep the lovely world map canvas.
After a few emails back and forth he sent us a coupon code we could use on the dutch website as shipping would be more convenient.
In our opinion, there are too many designs, so it’s hard to choose one. Eventually, we agreed on this world map canvas. As you can see on their UK website they’re a dutch company and they still have some translation work to do… 😉
Two days after we’d made the order, the world map arrived already. Good thing we were at home, as the canvas turned out even bigger than we expected. The canvas was packed nicely, and not with too much plastic, bubble wrap, etc.
In the package, there were 4 screws and 2 mounting pieces you have to add to the wooden canvas yourself. That way you can adjust where on the canvas you place these (easy if you already have plugs or holes in your wall).
In the package, we also received some marker flags but we decided not to use them as they looked quite cheap and we think they’ll ruin the canvas if we would put them in.
We really like the uniqueness of the design, as well as the personalisation on the back which is a nice detail.
